TILT

"TILT have been producing music since the early 90's, when they were signed to Perfecto Records by Paul Oakenfold. They've since gone on to forge their own huge niche in Clubland. Becoming famous for their epic DJ sets and equally epic records!" - Pete Tong (BBC Radio 1 / Essential Mix)

Often called ‘Legendary’, TILT are an English group of Electronic Record Producers, composed of Mick Park and Nic Britton.

Originally formed in Coventry by Mick Park, Mick Wilson and John Graham in 1993, they were signed to Perfecto Records by Paul Oakenfold and released their first hit single "I Dream" in 1994. After multiple successful singles including "My Spirit", "Places", and the captivating "Butterfly", along with "Rendezvous", which they recorded with Paul Van Dyk, they saw themselves signed to Hooj Choons. Red Jerry at Hooj Choons went onto release "Invisible", which went Top 20 in the UK singles chart. The unforgettable & timeless cover version of Robert Miles "Children" on Deconstruction Records and their "Dark Science EP"...at this point, they had produced seven UK chart hits. In 1997, the boys collaborated with the legendary Sex Pistols Manager Malcolm Mclaren on Lakme 'The Bell Song' - which received critical acclaim. In 1999 Mick Parks and Mick Wilson were joined by Andy Moor, which saw the release of the album, "Explorer", on Hooj Choons subsidiary label, Lost Language. Graham, Wilson and Moor subsequently left the band to pursue their own paths.

In 2011 Nic Britton re-joined Mick Park as TILT with releases on Black Hole Recordings. Nic had previously worked with Laurent Garnier, Kevin Saunderson, Juan Atkins and Underground Resistance. Mick and Nic then celebrated their huge remix of Cosmos "Take Me With You" supported by BBC Radio One and Kiss (UK Radio Station). It was championed from a plethora of DJ's including Sasha, Carl Cox, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Paul Oakenfold & Pete Tong to name a few - With two highly acclaimed Radio 1 Essential mixes under his Belt, Mick’s TILT DJ sets are in high demand all around the World!

TILT are no strangers to the Irish connection. A remix of "Psalm 33" by Sinead O'Connor (TILT & Redanka's Jah remix) and 2019 saw them remix U2 "Summer of Love" (Island Records) with huge support from BBC Radio One, Paul Oakenfold, Rusty Egan and Solarstone and widespread acclaim meant they would go on to do 5 projects for the esteemed rockers. Bono himself commissioned them to do a remix of “Where the streets have no names” in 2019.

Averse to 'sitting still' 2019 was the birth of their own imprint record label / clothing brand ‘Guerilla Movement’ with merch flying off the shelves.

2021/22 reunited Parks with Wilson on a remix of "Gangsters" (The Specials), used by the Coventry City of Culture for their 2021 celebrations.

The last 2 years have kept TILT ever busy with scoring the music for their first film 'Wolflands. Recent projects include collaborations with Ruby Turner (Jools Holland), Robbie Williams, Happy Mondays front woman Rowetta and Inder Goldfinger (Ian Brown) for UNKLE feat Ian Brown "Reign" TILT remix, with James Lavelle

MILITIA

Where it all started Steve, his first visit to Cream in 1996 followed later that year by a trip to Ibiza. His eyes were opened to the underground music scene and his passion was evoked.

Following the likes of Sasha, Parks & Wilson and James Lavelle up and down the UK, taking inspiration, he soon immersed himself into the scene, purchased some 1210’s , frequented record shops such as 3beat, Massive Records, Eastern bloc searching for his own sound, influenced by progressive house, electronica & break beat.

Over the next few years owning his craft Militia has gone on to join forces with local DJs and friends stating their own nights in and around the Cheshire area. Redeye, Spinoff and Funkagenda, with Dj’s line ups including Parks & Wilson, Quivver, Redanka and Steve Parry to name a few.
This lead on to gigs across the UK and Europe.

2018 saw the launch of record label Guerilla Movement, Co-owned by Tilt maestros Mick Park and Nick Britton.
The label has gained support from DJs of the likes of John Digweed, Sasha, Dave Seaman and Anthony Pappa.

Working with Mexican DJ/producer Issac (last night on earth), under the Isaac vs Militia collaboration they have created 4 reworks, Trancesetters - Roaches which has been shown huge support by Sasha & Pappa and was signed to Hooj Choons. Delta Lady - Anything you want championed by Digweed and Pappa, followed by reworks of Tilt track What’s this and Radiohead's Pyramid Song.

Having been signed to support the Tilt 30th anniversary tour, future productions and remixes in the works, 2024 is looking BIG for Militia.

HIGGINS

Since a young age Higgins always felt most comfortable hanging around record shops and looking for the latest music as with most Dj's starting out.

With an ever growing record collection developing his own individual style and technique, travelling to endless club nights, handing out countless mix tapes this was pretty much the norm back then.

Eventually this paid off playing at venues up and down the UK, being offered a residence at 'The Edge' in Sheffield and being given the opportunity to play along side Dj's such as
Mickey Finn, Grooverider,Swan E,Hype & SS.

But there was something missing, he was ready for a new challenge, a new direction. This direction was influenced by Dj's and producers such as Brian Transeu, Blue Amazon,Paul Oakenfold but most of all the highly acclaimed 7 ways album by Paul Van Dyke.

Then came the introduction to Sasha & John Digweed, Listening to their style and track selection Higgins was seriously hooked they just blew him away.
